About the Real Estate Market in Martins Lake
Martins Lake sits in the RM of Leask No. 464, about 55 minutes from Spiritwood, with Leask, Marcelin and Blaine Lake as the nearest towns for groceries, fuel and hardware. The lake is home to Martins Lake Regional Park, which has been running since 1962 and was Saskatchewan Regional Parks’ Park of the Year in 2010.
The park is the main draw. It has a treed campground with electric, non-serviced and seasonal sites, a beach and boat launch, and a 9-hole golf course with a licensed clubhouse. The park also publishes its own bylaws, including a building bylaw, so anyone looking at a cabin or a seasonal site here should read those first. I can help you find them and go through what they mean for a purchase.
Martins Lake is a regional park before it’s a cabin market, so I treat cabins here as something that comes up now and then, not something to plan around. When one does, the usual questions apply: whether the lot is leased or titled, how water and septic are handled, and what the park’s bylaws allow you to build or change.
