Turtleford is a town in the RM of Mervin No. 499, where Highways 3 and 26 meet. It’s about 80 minutes west of Spiritwood, straight along Highway 3 through Medstead and Glaslyn, and the town puts North Battleford at 88.5 km and Lloydminster at 85.7 km.

Turtleford covers most of the basics in town. The Riverside Health Complex, just west of town on Highway 303, has a hospital, a clinic and long-term care, with a STARS air ambulance landing site on the property. Turtleford Community School runs from Kindergarten to Grade 12. There’s a Co-op grocery store and home centre, a pharmacy, restaurants, a financial institution, and hardware and ag stores, plus a curling and skating rink, and the town says two golf courses are a few minutes away.

It also sits within reach of lake country. Brightsand Lake Regional Park describes Turtleford as a 36-minute drive, and Turtle Lake is about 46 km away by road. Properties here range from homes in town to acreages and farmland in the RM, and for lake owners it’s a practical year-round base close to the water.
